Meet Our Team
Philip Price
Philip D. Price is the managing partner at Price Law Group. Mr. Price grew up in the coastal region of Georgia and graduated high school in Wayne County, Georgia. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in History, Religion, and Anthropology, Mr. Price graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2007.
Mr. Price began his legal career as a Criminal Defense attorney in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. He immediately engaged in defense litigation throughout the metro area as well as numerous other counties and municipalities. These valuable early experiences prepared Mr. Price to seamlessly transition into practice in the North Metro area as he joined Abernathy Law Group in 2008.
Rarely a day passes where Mr. Price is not found in a courtroom, defending and prosecuting cases in criminal and family law proceedings. In his criminal practice, he has conducted and won jury trials in multiple jurisdictions and at multiple levels. Mr. Price has successfully managed thousands of criminal proceedings at Superior, State, Magistrate, Juvenile, and Municipal Courts throughout Metro Atlanta. While Mr. Price confidently pursues positive outcomes for his clients, he is equally adept at managing resolutions for the Defendant without exposing them to needless risks.
When he is not found in a courtroom conducting a criminal proceeding, Mr. Price is usually navigating the myriad issues related to divorce, custody, child support, contempt, juvenile, property division, alimony, and other family law matters. Mr. Price routinely represents clients at mediation or arbitration proceedings with an aggressive approach to protect and represent his clients, all while ensuring that practical resolutions are not ignored.
“The worst day of a client’s life is usually the day before I meet them. It’s the day they were arrested, or their spouse left them, or their children were removed from their care. My goal is to improve their position every day, with honest and frank advice, and to make sure they leave my professional services knowing we moved every day towards a better result.”
Abbey Price
Ms. Moore is a north Atlanta native, growing up and attending high school in Alpharetta, Georgia. After earning her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Florida State University, she started her legal career while attending John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Ms. Moore worked in the DeKalb County Public Defender’s office, focusing on juvenile cases.
After obtaining her law degree in 2011, Ms. Moore joined Abernathy, Price & Associates, initially focusing her practice in juvenile litigation representing children and assisting families. Almost immediately, Mrs. Price expanded her practice areas to include criminal defense, juvenile defense, juvenile dependency, family law and general litigation. In 2017, Ms. Moore was elevated to equity partner in the firm.
While Ms. Moore maintains a case load across many litigation areas, her passion is representing children and navigating families through their complex legal challenges. As an experienced litigation attorney, she has conducted innumerable hearings, judge and jury trials, and represents her clients at every stage of litigation. To date, she has guided thousands of clients charged with anything from minor traffic infractions to serious violent offenses. She has the ability to balance and tailor her representation to meet the needs of a particular client, which can include convincing a jury of her client’s innocence or guiding a client through drug, alcohol or mental health treatment. Ms. Moore gains the trust of not just her clients, but their families as well.
Ms. Moore is also an experienced family law attorney and a seasoned Guardian ad Litem. She understands that each family is different and navigates her clients through the Court system by way of trial or Alternative Dispute Resolution. When she is not representing the parents or grandparents of a child, she often finds herself appointed by the Courts to represent the children involved in divorce proceedings. As a Guardian ad Litem, her focus shifts solely to the best interest of the children involved, and her well rounded experience is used to protect those children from the ongoing litigation. Ms. Moore is trusted by numerous Superior and Juvenile Court judges to advocate for children throughout the North Metro Atlanta area.
“The court system is impersonal and confusing. I will explain the process and guide you through it in a way that is practical, helpful, and goal oriented. Providing my clients with an opportunity to move forward, with a clean slate, is the best part of my job.”
